Polkadotfrog is working with a client based in Kesgrave for a Systems Support Analyst. The successful applicant will be involved in a mix of general user support, application support and database support, as well as management. Our client has an outsourced IT Support team and a DBA 3rd party, so this is leading them whilst still being hands on internally.

This new exciting role will be providing a support service to all staff and end users of our clients company's database and all in-house use of IT applications. On a day-to-day basis, you will be supporting our clients' online database and remotely supporting users' issues on the telephone and via email, whilst playing a key role in the enhancement of the database to suit the organisations growing needs. You will be maintaining existing functions and develop enhancements to the registration database and this will be done via a 3rd party and over time in-house undertaking project work, such as database migration to CRM, leading in the drafting of project specifications, through to testing and deployment.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to a variety of areas other than Support. For instance, you will be engaged with Testing and approval of updates to the company database and website. You will also be required to arrange weekly IT support meetings with the other Heads of Department, to discuss current ongoing issues and you shall be required to produce reports relating to data contained within the database, using pivot tables and Access databases.

Person Specification:
  • Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
  • Experience of Microsoft Exchange Server
  • Knowledge and experience of website management
  • Knowledge and experience of database management
  • An understanding of HTML, Quark, Crystal Reports, CSS, FTP,and Contacts database (SQL)
  • Technically aware with a broad knowledge of IT Support
  • Strong Excel, knowledge of pivot and reporting
  • Ideally prior experience working with a complex ERP or MRP or CRM (not essential)
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Methodical with an attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Access database systems and reporting
  • Ability to work as part of a team or as an individual
  • Project management abilities

This is a full time, 37.5-hour working week, permanent position.
