The company are a leading manufacturer of building products used extensively within the construction sector.
They are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join their team in the position of Lead Electrical Engineer at their Derbyshire manufacturing plant. To work days Monday to Friday.
The Role
To carry out the installation, maintenance and repair of plant and equipment
Carry out fault finding and minor program changes using a laptop on the S7 control system
To provide technical expertise to support plant requirements
Deliver outstanding HSEQ performance every time
Supervise and assist third party service providers as required
Identify and implement continuous improvement (CI) to the plant
Support the running of the CMMS system - Work creation
Carry out 5S tasks
Carry Out TPM Tasks
Own Maintenance Breakdown Reports (MBRs) through to completion.
Install, maintain and repair plant and equipment in a safe and productive manner
Ensure all installations are completed in accordance with specifications provided.
Provide technical expertise to support plant requirements
Research technical information as required to enable effective fault finding / rectification.
Provide inspection, testing and commissioning expertise and support.
Assist the Management team and as required.
Undertake risk assessments and carry out HSEQ audits as required.
Adhere to the permit to work system at all times
Update technical information.
Update maintenance activities when a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is in place.
Research and order spare parts when the Planner is off site etc.
Lead by example in encouraging teamwork with both electrical and mechanical employees, flexibility and a culture of continuous improvement.
Proactively support company / site initiatives
Qualifications
Approved electrical apprenticeship and/or HNC/HND in engineering discipline
Demonstration of trade competence (e.g. ACE card)
Ability to research technical information and able to undertake effective fault finding / rectification
Minimum 2 years maintenance experience with proven technical competence
Able to work with minimal supervision

Strong PLC Knowledge predominantly Siemens S7 (Simatic Manager - S7-300/400) Programming and Fault Finding
