Purchase Ledger Officer - Part time FTC 1 year

The Opportunity

We are working with a fantastic client looking for a part time, temporary candidate who possess the motivation and ambition to progress their Finance career. This friendly and hard-working Finance team is in need of additional support with their purchase ledger function and are looking for a positive, pro-active candidate with a can-do attitude.

What you'll be doing -

·Assist with general accounting functions e.g. purchase ledger, staff expenses payments etc.

·Complete payment runs for suppliers and reconciliation of supplier statements.

·Preparation of BACS payments and remittance advices.

·Ongoing maintenance of an electronic filing system.

·Chase invoices due for payment.


·Provide support to the Sales Ledger team as and when required.

Experience you'll bring to the team -

·Proven track record of working efficiently and autonomously to meet deadlines.

·Experience of reconciliations.

·A background of working within financial services or a regulated environment.

·Excellent communication skills and work ethic with a customer focused approach.

·Confident and engaging with high levels of self-awareness and a professional and mature approach to work.

There are some must haves -

·Minimum of 2 years' experience within a busy finance department.

·5 GCSEs including Maths and English Grade C or above.

·Proficient in full Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word and Outlook).

What you will get in return -

·Up to £25,410 FTE basic salary (£15,258 Pro rata)

·21 Hours per week

·12 month post

·Excellent benefits package
