Our client is a market leading insurance broker who are looking for a Legal Associate to support their increasing client base in the contract recruitment market.

Job Purpose:
  • Responsible for providing contract review and advise to existing and potentially some new clients in relation to liability and implications on insurance coverage relating to different commercial recruitment contracts.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Review and advise clients on the implications of a variety of commercial contracts, principally in relation to the introduction of temporary or contract workers and the implication of liability for their work and welfare.
  • Deliver accurate, consistent and high quality business focused reviews to tight deadlines.
  • To effectively identify, assess and manage legal risk and insurance risk to influence stakeholders.
  • To ensure appropriate reporting on, and escalating of, key legal matters.
  • Support the implementation of an efficient contract review process, delivering improvement opportunities as necessary.
  • Support the commercial legal team as required with general contract queries and the use and management of existing contract templates.
  • Work effectively with Sales Consultants and other business colleagues.
  • To develop and maintain appropriate internal know-how and expertise together with continual improvement and benchmarking.

Key Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required:
  • Professional qualification in law desired but not essential.
  • Solid experience of reviewing commercial contracts (essential if not qualified).
  • Solid understanding of liability and it impact on insurance covers.
  • Prior knowledge of the recruitment sector is desirable but not essential.
  • Self-motivated with a 'can-do' attitude, focused on seeking solutions and possibilities rather than impossibilities.
  • A genuine team player, looking to work as part of a tight-knit and supportive team.
  • Keeps up to date with relevant legal and industry developments.
  • Collaborative and accessible approach, able to build mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Well organised and execution orientated.

Salary/Benefits Information:
  • Up to £45,000 PA (DOE) + Bonus + Benefits
