This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated Contracts Paralegal to join a rapidly expanding international Software business based in the centre of Reading.

The Contracts Paralegal's role is primarily to help support the General Counsel negotiate and mitigate risk in the company's commercial contracts with clients, partners and suppliers. As the Contracts Paralegal, you will be liaising with all appropriate areas of the business, the role is also responsible for ensuring that the business is aware of its responsibilities under each contract and maintaining an accurate up to date contracts log to ensure that the business maximises value from its customer base from a contractual point of view.

Additionally, the candidate will also support the General Counsel in ensuring that the company is operating within all applicable laws and regulations in the countries in which it operates.

Key Responsibilities of the Contracts Paralegal are as follows:-

Working with the appropriate stakeholders in the business to provide expert and pragmatic advice on risks & legal issues arising in relation to commercial procurement:

Ensure that all data protection and Info Sec requirements are in place to allow the company to operate globally.

Identification of risk areas in customer model contracts and proposed clause variations.

Negotiation with customer legal teams to minimise risk & agree customer services contracts.

Co-ordination of staff in the production of deliverables schedules for commercial agreements.

Specifically IP protection, Trademark registration, legal entity establishment in foreign jurisdictions.

Support review and negotiation of key third-party supplier contract negotiation.
