An experienced Legal Office Manager is needed within a Specialist Legal Firm in Manchester. This role would be suitable for someone who has previous Office or Practice Management experience within a Legal or Professional Services business.

The key responsibilities of the Legal Office Manager:

Managing day to day operation of the business
Motivating and leading the firm's support staff working
Reviewing, developing and monitoring office procedures including work flow, filing and archiving systems to promote efficient working practices
Working with partners and our accounts team to monitor and improve the financial performance
Managing special projects
Providing the firm's HR function, directly and through liaison with the partners and external advisors, including: recruitment, managing employee relation issues
Maintaining employee records
Managing the firm's premises, equipment and other facilities, suppliers and contractors
Negotiating and monitoring supplier agreements
Managing and implementing the firm's compliance with internal and external regulation and certification requirementsProfile

The Legal Office Manager will be/have:

Experience of practice management in a professional practice is essential
Excellent administration and IT skills
A practical knowledge of HR and HS
Experience of management and supervision of staff
Excellent communication and people skills
Flexible approach with capacity to take on a variety of tasks
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
