PURPOSE OF JOB
To prepare, analyse and be familiar with all financial aspects of clients in your portfolio.
Supporting clients to prepare and present financial forecasts, analysing offers received and preparing business valuations where relevant. Highlight areas of financial and commercial risk and advice regarding growth potential of our client accordingly.
Working closely with Senior/Lead Advisors and supporting clients through any due diligence process. Partnering with cross functional departments, providing a service which will lead to a successful sale of our Client's business, or providing advice on an alternative solution.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Business Development:
▪ Providing advisory financial support for Sales pitches
▪ Joining a deal team at Sales pitches to explain your role and experience when required
Business Assessment: ▪ Lead a detailed Financial Review meeting with the client to assess the performance of their business and forecast future performance ▪ Perform all key financial analysis from historic information, forecasts and budgets ▪ Identifying KPI's for our clients' business/industry and benchmarking of their performance ▪ PESTEL and SWOT analysis ▪ Evaluation of external consultants reports where available ▪ Producing and delivering presentations, including making recommendations ▪ Analyse and assess the quality of management information and suitability to support execution of due diligence
Transaction & Advisory:
▪ Preparation of financial materials to be included in Information Memoranda and Management Presentations (Profit Plans)
▪ Bid analysis on offers received
▪ Ongoing support of the Deal Team and Senior/Lead Advisor for a transaction
▪ Assist with the collation and review of financial due diligence materials
▪ Recommendations on business initiatives/strategies to enhance growth proposition
▪ Advise internal and external clients on any financial matters

PERSON PROFILE
ATTRIBUTES/COMPETENCIES
• Strong financial background
• Knowledge of different valuation techniques and ability to apply (ideally)
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Sound in-depth knowledge of statutory accounts
• Ability to interpret management information packs
• Positive attitude towards work and ability to manage own workload
• Positive attitude towards clients (both internal and external)
• Planning and organising - able to meet prescribed deadlines (fast-paced environment with tight deadlines)
• Adaptable and versatile working style
• Strong team working skills
• Ability to learn quickly and be prepared to take responsibility from the outset
• Commercial and organisational awareness
• Problem solving and technical/analytical thinking
• Ability to engage and articulate, holding high level business discussions with all parties
involved
• Effective facilitation of face to face meetings
EXPERIENCE
• ACA/ACCA Qualified (or equivalent or relevant work experience)
• Client facing; familiar with presenting to small groups
• Accounting practice background of Accounting Services, Outsourcing, Audit; desirable
• Experience with owner managed businesses; SME's to Medium sized companies
• Strong commercial experience
• Experience in Corporate Finance environment, desirable
