The Company:

My client is a market leading systems integrator, servicing predominantly the Food and Beverage industry. Other key industries include quarrying and agriculture. With over 100 years of industry experience and understanding across the management team, my client has been successful with over 90% of their tenders and have projects confirmed for late 2020. The team are dedicated, multi-disciplined professionals who can offer the successful candidate an opportunity to join a flourishing company and grow into the Senior Manager of an established Controls department. As my client continues to succeed, they are now looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join their exciting team.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be required to design software within agreed timescales & budgetary constraints, working closely with fellow engineers. The role will be predominantly office based, with local commissioning work to be carried out when required. Candidates will be expected to drive projects forward with enthusiasm and occasionally assist with FDS development. The role is a fantastic opportunity to progress up the professional ladder into a senior position where the successful candidate could eventually find themselves leading the department.

Essential Skills:

3 + years programming PLC Systems from scratch - Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, Schneider all considered.
Experience commissioning project software for FAT & SAT.
Understanding of communications networks - ProfiBUS, ProfiNET, DeviceNET & ASI.
Understanding of PID loops and P&ID processes.Desirable Skills:

Experience with FDS development.
Electrical hardware background.
