Business Development Executive

Field-based: covering M4 corridor

£30k - £40k + commission

Job Purpose

To generate profitable revenue and incremental engagements from a defined set of accounts.

Key Objectives

1. To exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets with profitable business.

2. To develop strong revenue generating relationships at all levels within the client base.

3. Maintain accurate forecasts, account plans and opportunity profiles on the CRM system.

Areas of Responsibility

1. Identify large opportunities and ensure that our client is positioned appropriately.

2. Understand the strategic direction of each customer and demonstrate how our client can assist them to achieve their goals.

3. Ensure effective and timely positioning of our client into any procurement led initiatives and understand the contract review and tender timetable process within target client base.

4. Produce and submit high quality proposals and bid responses using resources available from departments.

5. Work with colleagues in local countries where necessary to develop and transpose relationships into the UK.

6. Negotiate client contracts in conjunction with other departments.

7. Develop new business opportunities within existing customers and new target accounts, operating at multiple levels within the customer organisation.

8. Maintain a watching brief on developments within organisations which may affect future business.

9. Produce comprehensive account plans for named accounts, developing account strategies and execute through to generating major revenues.

10. Work with the leading vendors, forming joint relationships with the customer, where applicable.

11. Proactive in understanding offerings and shifts in both competition and industry trends.

12. Schedule and attend no less than 12 customer meetings per month, ensuring all key accounts are visited at least once a quarter.

13. Attend customer presentations that demonstrate that our client is the partner of choice.

14. Ensure that all business solutions are profitable and meet internal guidelines.

15. Update CRM system with accurate and up to date details of activity, customer profiles and enquiry status.

16. Ensure all marketing campaign leads are followed up.

Job Related Qualifications

Educated to degree level or have significant sales experience at a similar level.
