The successful Senior Desktop Support/System Centre Configuration Management, will have the relevant skills and experience specified below for this 9 month temporary assignment based in Swindon. Please Note: This assignment sits inside of IR35.

Minimum Requirement:
Essential:

• IT degree or equivalent SCCM deployment experience (3+ years)
• Excellent communication and training skills
• Ability to build strong working relationships with technical and non technical stakeholders
• Windows 10
• Office 365 (XML file maintenance and deployment)
• Windows Update (Deployment using SCCM)
• Group Policy
• Understanding of packaging methods / files types

Desirable:
• ITIL foundation
• MDT and SCCM OSD experience preferred
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Experience of Cherwell and ServiceNow as ITSM tools

Responsibilities:
• General maintenance and configuration of SCCM
• Creation / updating / removal of applications / software packages for workstations in SCCM
• Maintain Windows Updates deployment process
• Create / Update SCCM queries for reporting and deployment
• Build / Maintain Windows 10 Image, Global Task Sequence and deployment process
• Maintain Office 365 installation, XML files, update settings
• Review / Maintain Windows 10 Group Policies
• Packaging tasks from request through UAT and deployment
• Providing additional resource to ensure requirements of EUC service is met - including taking on tasks escalated from Desktop Support
• Review inventory of applications installed and categorise
• Maintain driver packages and boot images
• Implementation of new products and technologies for workstations
• Deliver training and offer shadowing opportunities to in house IT staff, enabling colleagues to remove dependencies on third parties for common tasks

Occasional travel may be required
- The SCCM engineer will be responsible for the development and configuration of Microsoft SCCM and implementation of EUC policies.

Please Note: The lower pay rate advertised in this job description is the highest PAYE daily/hourly pay rate that the client is willing to pay up to. The higher pay rate advertised in this job description is the highest Umbrella Company daily/hourly pay rate that the client is willing to pay up to.
