Prospero Teaching are working on behalf of an 11-18 Academy Trust, with sixth form status and graded overall GOOD by OFSTED in South Leicestershire. They require a QTS Geography Specialist teacher to join the humanities department for a minimum of 6 weeks, likely more.

WE WILL PAY TO SCALE FROM THE START OF THIS BOOKING FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATE!

The role will require the successful teacher to be able to take on new Geography classes at the beginning of this academic year and deliver the schemes of work already put in place. The department consists of a number of experienced and subject specific teachers who are all fully committed to providing students with an exciting curriculum full of opportunity. Some normal planning and marking is required for the classes you teach but you will be fully supported by the department leaders who will be glad to assist you in any way they can. OCR is the chosen exam board for GCSE and A Level so, familiarity with this would be an advantage but is not a requirement.

A Level experience is desirable but not essential.

The schools are across two sites and you will be required to teach at both and form tutor responsibilities will also be expected as part of this full time teaching role.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Geography specialist to make a real impact in a successful department and to take on full responsibility as a class teacher.
