An Aviation company with multiple sites in the UK are looking to attract an Application Support Engineer on a permanent basis.

The Application Support Engineer will provide day to day support and development advice across the sites. There will be a small element of travel but the sites are located within a set area of the UK.

The role will report into the group IT manager.

Particular focus of this role is on database and transaction processing systems across the group. There are opportunities to help with application design and implementation of upgrades. A budget is available for this as the company recognise the need to be on the front foot with technology.

As the Application Support Engineer you will have experience within 1st -3rd line support. You will have experience in daily monitoring, verification of systems and hardware, applications logs and system back up processes.

Periodic reviews and performance reporting will be of interest to you and from those recommendations can be made for improvements.

The Application Support Engineer will have excellent oral and written skills, excellent troubleshooting skills, application development exposure, SQL development of reports and have design experience of tables, databases, indexes, procedures and packages.
