Reed Accountancy Ipswich are delighted to be recruiting for a large business in Ipswich for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to work in a 12 month fixed term contract.

The position is based in Ipswich and has free parking. Full time hours only.

Principal Duties & Main Activities:

• Assisting Purchase Ledger with daily tasks, eg obtaining signatures.

• Maintaining the P/L day book.

• Scanning of payment run reports onto Sage 200.

• Scanning of individual payments onto Sage 200.

• Timely reconciliation and scanning of supplier statements.

• Petty cash for Ipswich office - maintaining and reconciling.

• Reconciling petty cash

• Providing occasional cover/support for other team members of purchase ledger.

• Providing occasional cover/support for Accounts team members in busy times/holidays.

• Contributing to the office culture, conduct and discipline to encourage an enjoyable, productive and efficient workplace for all.

• Seeking success for the company, contributing and supporting the company Vision and Values for the future growth to the benefit of all stakeholders.

• Fostering sound working relationships with Directors and other employees.

• Any other duties consistent with the job description that may be required from time to time.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

• Education to GCSE grade C or equivalent in at least five subjects, including maths and English.

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal

• Experience on Sage and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) would be advantageous
