This is an exciting career opportunity with a top commercial insurance broker who are very well established and well thought of within their field. You will be working closely with the Associate Director supporting very warm accounts with, many of which are major accounts for the company. This particular office is the most successful in the company so it is a great opportunity to be part of a well run team.

The Role

Initially you will be supporting the Associate Director in managing an existing, large, very successful portfolio of clients who have a broad range of commercial motor fleet insurance policies. You are tasked with both providing excellent service to retain clients and negotiate with clients and specialist insurance companies, largely dealing with fleet and community transport insurance. At times you will be visiting your clients which will help you build on current and develop new relationships.

Specific tasks will include:
  • Communicating and building relationships with current clients
  • Supporting Associate Director in maintaining and growing a successful portfolio
  • Managing the whole renewal process
  • Day trips to visit current clients to establish relationships and continue to grow policies with
  • Acting as liaison between your policy holder and the insurer and negotiation of premiums
  • You will aim to provide a consistently excellent service to your clients to help ensure client retention
  • Other tasks include processing mid term adjustments, organising for payment of premiums and other administrative support to help the relationship run smoothly

The Ideal Candidate

You will need to have experience of insurance account management, preferably within commercial insurance but if you can demonstrate excellent capability within personal lines and would like to progress to commercial insurance your application will also be welcomed. The insurance knowledge will need to be rounded, to include property/Liability/Motor etc. You will need to have solid background in relationship building, negotiation and customer service with experience in administration.

This is a high performing office and the management team have the flexibility to treat you as an 'individual', giving you space to grow and opportunity to play to your strengths instead of having to fit into a rigid structure.

Hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and benefits include 25 days holiday and Health Insurance.
