A good Primary School in Thurrock seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for PPA cover across all years (Nursery-Year 6). This position is required for 5 days a week.
  • This Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) role requires someone to plan and prepare to teach specific objectives and to set tasks appropriate to students to ensure a high level of teaching and learning standards.
  • As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) you will be covering PPA 5 days across Nursery to Year 6.
  • Develop and prepare resources for learning activities in accordance with lesson plans and in response to student need.
  • Ability to motivate and challenge pupils with an excellent understanding of the class teachers teaching style to ensure consistency within the classroom.
  • A great use of time management to ensure effective use of teaching time.
  • Maintain the high expectations of behaviour and discipline.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress and remain in liaison with teachers for continuity.
  • Establish effective working relationships and set a good example through profession conduct.
  • Excellent ability to engage students with fun and exciting lessons using a variety of resources.
  • This position requires a qualified HLTA.
  • Recent relevant experience could be an advantage also.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum is ideal.

This Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) position subject to full safeguarding checks incl. vetting and a full clear enhanced DBS.
