Brewster Partners are working exclusively with a growing business based in Doncaster who have experienced significant growth over the past 10 years and have a turnover now between £25-50m. now looking to expand their finance team.

The business is now looking to strengthen their finance department on a permanent basis but are looking for someone to join them as soon as possible.

This commercial position is a key role in finance but also the surrounding business. As Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, looking to make improvements to procedures and controls, as well as ad-hoc projects and requests as and when they come up.

The client will look at candidates who are immediately available and interested in going permanent, candidates who are just looking for a short term interim assignment or candidates who are looking for a permanent role who have a notice period (between 1-3 months).

  • Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
  • Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries.
  • Budgeting and forecasting.
  • Leading the analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and presenting findings to the board.
  • Managing an end-to-end audit process of current systems - while acting as the first point of contact for external auditors.
  • Continually identify risks to delivery, propose solutions where necessary and effectively manage stakeholder expectations throughout.
  • Dealing with working capital management and production of cash flow forecasts.
  • Leading the team responsible for payroll, VAT and HMRC processes.

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Excel and modelling
  • Creating statutory accounts
  • Ability to delegate and manage the work of others
  • Experience of AP and AR
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Produced budgets up to multi-millions
  • Experience running annual audit


You will be looking for a day rate between £180-225 or you will be looking for a permanent role around the £45k level.
