Full Time - 38.5 hours per week

Salary - up to £40k

A multi-site company operating in the service industry and based near Banbury is looking for a management accountant to join the current team. The company has seen some rapid growth over the last year and this role has become available to support that growth.

This is a great opportunity to gain some experience working for an expanding company who has achieved industry accreditation for its performance over recent years. This diverse role will be part of a busy and dynamic head office team, reporting into the Finance Manager.

The role is predominantly focused in 2 main areas - month end reporting and the monitoring, reconciling and reporting of the cash handling and cash systems used within the business. They key duties will include:

Site cash and other balance sheet reconciliations

GDPR compliance for the security of cash

Cash exception reporting

Cash income reconciliation

Reviewing of current cash systems and implementation of new ones to suit business needs

Training and support on cash controls and procedures to site and area managers

Month end accounts preparation, reviews and reporting of site accounts with area managers

Budget processing

Assisting area managers with site billing and budgeting queries

Other duties as required in the case of holiday or sickness cover

The company's main accounting system is MS Dynamics GP

The ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Be qualified or part qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA. Candidates qualified by experience will also be considered
  • Confident with IT and accounting systems. Experience in using MS Dynamics GP would be an advantage
  • Past involvement with system implementations
  • Advanced use of Excel
  • Strong reconciliation skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Previous experience of working in a cash handling environment would be an advantage
  • Have experience supporting non finance staff to understand financial management information
  • A flexible approach is required to accommodate the changing needs of a growing company
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel as and when required
  • Full driving licence and car
