SERVICE TEAM LEADER
HIGH SPEED FOOD MANUFACTURING EQUIPMENT COMPANY
**Relevant Experience Is Essential - either from a "Service" background (ideally of a technical product) with good commercial understanding OR Food Processing/Packaging Equipment background which would be a distinct advantage.Candidates Without Experience Will Not Be Considered.
Our Client is a "specialist" distribution company of High Speed Food Manufacturing Equipment (food processing machinery). Due to substantial growth, a position has arisen for a Service Team Leader to manage daily processes and activities at Head Office for the Service Desk.
We are seeking a friendly, outgoing Professional who may or may not have previous experience of working with food manufacturing, processing and production machinery but has a good commercial acumen and an understanding of Service Processes, Documentation Management and Efficiency.
Ideally we are looking for someone who can add value to this position and boost our current service team. Maintaining a high level of customer engagement and satisfaction is critical to be successful in this role, as this is a major focus throughout the business. You will manage and be responsible for the two Service Coordinators so we need someone who has excellent supervisory and training skills.
If you love working in a dynamic, evolving environment, we are excited to discuss this position with you.
Person Specification
- As the Service Team Leader, you will play a vital role in the advancement and growth of the business and our services.
- There are many responsibilities to this role, which means pressure to perform well every day. As Service Team Leader, your work is critical to the success of the business, so it can be stressful and prioritising work will be imperative.
- You must be able to see the "big picture" as well as the finer details; your work is across the spectrum and will involve all departments. You will deal in small daily matters, as well as the larger aims and objectives of the business. You will need to set goals and take a systematic organised approach to all work.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required, for dealing with many types of people at all levels (in a professional but direct and diplomatic way), are essential. An understanding of demanding customer requirements is also necessary.
- You should be proficient in business planning, in order to allow you to build reports in a short period. Analytical skills would be advantageous to utilise data and create improvements.
- Strong leadership skills, including effective time management, prioritising and delegation are required. You must be able to lead, coach, inspire, support and motivate your team, and always be seeking to improve best practice.
- Having a natural creative flair and positive energy, solution orientated and full of ideas would be a distinct advantage to introduce new concepts and innovations.
Qualifications and Skills:

- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proven record of accomplishment in customer service and employee management.
- Ideally an engineering background or an appreciation of electrical and mechanical technical disciplines.
- Having a passion for people and processes.
