Market Development Manager - Downstream Oil & Gas

Valves / Flow Control / Process Control

Client Information

Our client manufactures, designs and supplies process control components and systems to various industries globally. They are a British manufacturing company and currently sit within the FTSE 100. They are the leader in their field and provide expert knowledge along with the largest range of products and service within the industry and are the trusted partner to large global businesses within all industries from food & beverage, healthcare, building services chemical, power and oil & gas. Due to continued growth and success they now look to appoint a market development manager within the Business Development Management team with responsibility for the proactive strategic drive to accelerate growth in the Oil & Gas industry.

Market Development Manager Responsibilities
  • Strategy - Design & Implementation
  • Business Development - identifying long term opportunities, development of sales tools such as interactive maps.
  • Marketing - Market Research and understanding the drivers and new opportunities within the oil & gas downstream sector
  • Operational Support - supporting the sales teams in the operating companies globally, collaboration, engagement and customer visits
  • Presenting - both internally and externally

Experience

This role focuses on two key areas; Strategy Development and Implementation; Business Development with sales experience. You will be comfortable working closely and collaboratively with our wholly owned sales companies to provide them with hands-on support and travelling to meet their customers. You will also be able to train internal sales teams on process applications so that they can be upskilled to identify new sales opportunities. Driving new product development for the focused sector remains a key aspect of the role.

We are looking for somebody with extensive domain knowledge and has credibility within the Oil & Gas Industry with technical knowledge of processes, applications and products. This role is to work specifically in the downstream sector.

The ideal person will be degree qualified in a relevant area and ideally with marketing or a business discipline.

This will be an office based role in Cheltenham with flexibility so we ask that you be no further than 1 hour 30 minutes from Cheltenham. The role will also encompass global business travel.
