You will be working within the Sales Ledger team for Spicerhaart, a national estate & lettings agent, for a fixed contract of 1 year.

You're based in Colchester, our Head Office, this department is responsible for processing all financials relating to our clients in a timely and accurate manor as well as providing other administrative support to the overall accounts operation.

The Role

This is a support role to the rest of the Sales Ledger team, you will predominately be inputting payments, collecting debt, solving issues and assisting with any further administrative duties. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Issuing monthly statements and invoices
  • Issuing weekly invoices to clients
  • Producing credit note reports and raising credit notes and amended invoices
  • Accurate inputting of bank receipts and cheques to the ledgers
  • Reconciliation of ledgers
  • Collection of debt via telephone calls, letters, e-mails to Litigation
  • To liase with the Sales Ledger Manager re queries and other problems collecting debt
  • Investigate possible breach of contracts and invoice accordingly
  • Running Land Registry Reports
  • Liaising with Estate Agency Branches
  • To ensure that timetables are adhered to and that financial information produced is accurate, reliable, consistent and reconciled
  • Holiday Cover for other staff members to include inputting all bank statements and/or cheques to all ledgers
  • Adhoc duties

We are offering a basic salary between £16,000 - £17,000

Your working hours will be:

Monday to Friday 9.00 - 17.30

What you need
  • Understanding of Sales Ledger
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Time management and organisational skills.
  • High level of accuracy.
  • Proficient in using MS Word, Excel & Outlook and good general keyboard skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
