Lead Product Designer: A passionate and creative Lead Product Designer with the drive to develop their career is required to continue the development of a world-class product portfolio for a market leading supplier of bathroom furniture and products. The company have over 25 years' experience in the bathroom industry covering design, manufacturing, sales, marketing and after sales service. They are committed to providing only exceptionally high-quality products in terms of both design and technology.

As part of this role the successful Lead Product Designer will identify and develop new product opportunities to add to the portfolio, developing existing product ranges to further meet customer requirements. The successful candidate will also take responsibility for ensuring all new and existing products meet industry certification requirements. The ideal candidate will have previous design experience with the ability to bring fresh design ideas to the role. Key Responsibilities:

Identify opportunities for new products by collaborating with other departments

Analyse how a new product ties in with customer needs and preferences

Set design requirements based on briefs from internal and external partners

Use 3D modelling software to design products and components

Identify and work with supply partners to produce prototypes and test functionality

Visit existing and new supply partners to develop and review products, as well as identifying new opportunities

Improve the design of existing products and ranges

Work closely with the Marketing Department to ensure the successful launch of new products

Prepare updates and presentations for weekly and monthly meetings

Ensure new and existing products meet market standards

Develop a process of applying for WRAS approval on new and existing products

Work to budgets, timeframes and following the NPD process

Manage product life cycles for each range and variant

Skills & Experience:

Able to differentiate through creative design by marrying up products that may initially appear to be unrelated and, when combined, create a unique product offering within the marketplace

A university degree in Product Design (or similar)

Previous experience in a product design role, preferably from outside the bathroom industry

A high level of loyalty and confidentiality
