Account Manager - Aluminium Systems

Job Title: Account Manager - Commercial Aluminium Systems

Industry Sector: Building Envelope, Cladding, Architectural Glazing, Aluminium Systems, Curtain Walling, Fenestration Systems, Windows & Doors, Aluminium Fabricators and Main Contractors

Area to be covered: London & South East

Remuneration: £45,000 + 40% Bonus

Benefits: Audi A4 Car or Car Allowance + full benefits package

The role of the Account Manager Commercial Aluminium Systems will involve:
  • Field sales position, promoting a manufactured range of commercial aluminium systems including: façades, curtain walling and window & doors
  • 75% of your time account managing circa 33 aluminium fabricators, with a revenue responsibility of circa £6m
  • Remaining 25% of your time new business development to create 5-10% growth (this could take the form of 2-4 small system fabricators or just l large one)
  • Key account managing accounts worth £10,000 to £2m turnover
  • Our client is moving away from smaller accounts and the refurbishment/ home improvement market in favor of larger commercial new build projects/ accounts (typically £500,000+)
  • Working closely with approx. 2-3 specification field sales professionals covering a similar area
  • Target new business account information will provided in the form of a database and there will be numerous leads to follow up on
  • Inheriting an area due to retirement (where the incumbent has been with the business for 30 years+)
  • Undertake company/ product related presentations to fabricators/ contractors
  • Assist aluminium system fabricators with queries during and post contract

The ideal applicant will be an Account Manager Commercial Aluminium Systems experience with:

·Must have field sales experience, having sold into fabricators

·Ideally sold to aluminium system fabricators, but our client will also consider other product backgrounds such as; brise soleil, louvres, solar shading, cladding, glazing or any other building envelope associated fenestration products

·Proven track record in account management but also capable of new business development

·Self starter

·Commercially aware

·Proven territory management field sales experience
