eSift are currently on the lookout for an experienced field-based sales/training professional to join our client, a leading distributor and wholesaler of pharmaceutical, medical and healthcare products.

Salary: Circa £28k per annum plus Company Car & Benefits

Territory: Ideally based in Edinburgh, to cover a surrounding territory in Scotland

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team within Pharmacy Development. You will be required to work within their contract sales team training the pharmacy teams on the specialised healthcare products within a well-known retail chain across the region.

You will be required to assess existing levels of knowledge in store and educate teams on pharmacy products - this will increase product knowledge and enable the team to make patient/customer recommendations leading to increased retail sales.

The products will vary in categories and you will be responsible for visiting the chain on a 4-week cycle developing the stores knowledge and product range. Making multiple visits a day you will be responsible for managing your own appointments as well as handling your own administration and reporting.

To be successful in this position you will have/be;
  • Previous experience selling/detailing pharmaceutical products/brands OR previous FMCG/retail product training experience
  • Excellent brand management experience
  • Previous experience in managing a territory - effective time management and journey planning capabilities are crucial as well as own diary management.
  • Results driven, adaptable to change, a quick learner and highly organised
  • Excellent interpersonal skills able to communicate effectively with pharmacy teams (decision makers and influencers)
  • Able to build rapport and develop trusted relationships with key staff
  • Effective presentation skills with good use of a variety of sales aids
  • Ability to work under pressure, set priorities and to work to deadlines.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a good decision maker
