£25,984-£28,408 (dependent on experience)

Dudley (with travel across the borough as and when required)

Our Dudley based client is an independent and impartial advice service supporting people from all walks of life giving them the knowledge and confidence to find their way forward whatever their problem be it benefits, debt, money, work, consumer, housing, family, law, court, immigration, health etc.
They are looking to add 3 Service Delivery Managers to their team to ensure continued excellent services across the Dudley Borough.

Main Purpose of the role:
  • Line manage staff/ volunteers in advice and non-advice services
  • Responsible for the provision of high quality generalist and specialist advice services
  • Member of the Operational Management team within the organisation

Main tasks and responsibilities (including but not limited to):
  • Supervising/ managing all paid staff and volunteers to ensure advice work and case work conforms to quality standards of the organisation
  • Contribution to the development of the organisation's business plan
  • Ensure quality and compliance is of an excellent standard
  • Ensure the development of research and campaign work across the organisation
  • To assist in the recruitment and training of paid staff and volunteers
  • Reporting - HR, Board papers, staff rota's (in line with contract compliance), maintaining and developing information systems
  • Professional development - keeping up to date with current/ new legislation, policies, procedures etc

The ideal candidate will:
  • Work within the aims, principles and policies of the organisation
  • At least 2 years management experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Bilingual skills desirable
  • Experience of social policy and campaigns
