Corporate Finance & Administration Manager


£52,540 - rising yearly

Our client, a globally recognised food retailer, is recruiting for a Finance Manager to join their Corporate Head Office based in Atherstone.

The objective of the role is to run the department efficiently and accurately and achieve compliance with all internal and external guidelines and regulations whilst contributing to a cooperative working environment.

In order to be successful when applying for this role you must possess a degree (minimum 2:1), possess experience in forecasting/budgeting and either be ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified.

Finance Manager responsibilities:
  • Leads, directs and supervises the work of those staff reporting to them
  • Analyses and reviews the monthly management accounts
  • Compares financial results against targets
  • Reports all forecast and planned targets across the business
  • Oversees regional sales projections
  • Oversees the preparation of centralised regional financial projections
  • Prepares a critique of the monthly financial projections
  • Prepares full-year and rolling forecasts
  • Monitors cash flow planning and capital expenditure / right of use asset expenditure Reviews, concludes and critiques annual 1- and 5-year projections
  • Manages the testing of version upgrades for programs in area of responsibility
  • Ensures successful national rollout of international software projects in area
  • Ensures the efficient flow of information, both incoming and outgoing, with external and internal parties within area of responsibility
  • Trains other staff where appropriate
  • Ensures deadlines are complied with in area of responsibility
  • Ensures compliance with company policies in the area of responsibility
  • Checks and authorises invoices in the area of responsibility following company procedures
  • Maintains an efficient and well organised filing system for area of responsibility
  • Ensures that all documentation in the area of responsibility is archived properly and ensures its safe disposal at the end of the archive period

The successful Finance Manager must possess:
  • You must have a degree qualification for this role, minimum 2:1
  • Either ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified
  • Experience in forecasting/budgeting an advantage
  • SAP knowledge beneficial
  • Experience of implementing change and new systems/solutions
  • Good legal understanding of contract management
  • Relevant experience in finance and administration function in the field at an appropriate level
  • Proven ability to provide support, guidance and training to financial and non-financial managers and colleagues
  • Experience of managing your own team
  • Strong commercial awareness

The successful Finance Manager can expect:
  • Basic salary ranging from £52,540 rising yearly
  • 5 weeks annual leave + bank holidays
