A strong financial footing is essential for the health and strength of our business. The finance team play many crucial roles at Bruntwood from ensuring we have a strong cashflow to assisting the property teams with effective financial forecasting for our long term future.

We are looking to strengthen the Transactional Finance team and along with the new systems and processes we are continually improving, we need a Cash Finance Assistant.

Working in the Cash team, you'll be doing the day to day bank reconciliations, administering all cash receipts from customers, processing expenses and other ad hoc processing duties.

Along with a good knowledge of Cash Management, you'll be an expert in excel, you'll love data and really understanding it. You'll be a great communicator and confident to build relationships with others, as well as making suggestions to improve the way things are done.

As Cash Finance Assistant, you'll be responsible for:

Completion of daily cash postings, ad-hoc postings and banking of customer receipts on our Accounting system.

Reconciliation of bank accounts according to reconciliation timetable.

Assisting the reconciliation of the Bank Suspense Account, regularly working with colleagues in both the Cash Team and the Credit Control Team for updates on unposted items.

Regular review and clear down of unposted bank transactions, including reviews of historic balances on the Receivables ledger.

Maintenance of customer Direct Debits and any resulting queries.

Processing of colleague expenses including query resolution.

Assisting the Cash Team Manager on the company pre-paid card transactions to ensure employee compliance.

Respond promptly to customer and colleague queries, and encouraging an attitude of improvement within the team to continue to do better.

Who are we looking for?

Someone with previous experience of Cash Management.

You will have good GCSE passes including Maths and English

Ideally Finance Assistant experience working with Balance Sheet reconciliations

It's important you are highly numerate & you'll be an expert in Microsoft Excel.

A confident communicator and be comfortable to build strong relationships.

You will be proactive, pragmatic and strive to improve the way we do things
