Fixed Assets Senior Accountant

Butler Rose is proud to be supporting a global brand with their recruitment for a new role to be based in North Hampshire. Reporting to the Global Manager and working as part of a new and fast growing team this role will develop in time.

The role will be to manage the Global Fixed Assets function responsible for the timely & accurate processing of the financial control, accounting & reporting. You will also be an integral part of the implementation team on delivering a new systems module to the function and will drive best practice and process efficiency's through the team.

The successful candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders internally and externally, maintain all financial controls and systems within the function identifying and recommending potential operational efficiency's and improvements to working practices and procedures.

Key responsibilities

Ensuring Fixed Assets Policy compliance and controlling the integrity of the Global Fixed Assets register
Process owner of the Global Fixed Assets Master Data Settings within the new system
Processing and coordinating Fixed Assets period end close activities.
Complete Fixed Assets balance sheet reconciliations, including assets under construction projects and liaise with balance sheet owners as necessary.
Prepare Fixed Asset Financial reports and ensure compliance with regulations.
Supervise accounting Fixed Asset activity across international legal entities.
Ownership of relevant end-to-end process documentation
Coordinating preparation of Audited Fixed Asset Financial disclosures.
Stakeholder management, including providing forecasting of Fixed Asset Register depreciation/balance sheets.

The person:

We are seeking a fully qualified technically strong Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) who has experience of multi-currency component asset accounting and ideally of of working with new finance system implementation. Candidates should have worked for a large, ideally globally business previously and experience within a Shared Services role would be an advantage.

Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills are also a key requirement as are first class communication skills and a confident approach. We are seeking a professional, methodical and diligent person who has strong attention to detail and can operate both strategically and tactically.
