A vacancy has arisen for a Finance Manager in Grimsby in the food sector. Candidates will ideally be newly qualified CIMA/ACCA although QBE accountants with the relevant skills set will also be considered. The company has easy access to the A180 and offers free parking on site.


-Working closely with the Financial Controller you will take day to day responsibility for the finance function, manage a small team of four clerks all to within tight deadlines
-Prepare the monthly management accounts, weekly monthly and annual forecasts, balance sheet and bank reconciliations and VAT returns
-Job costings, maintain the fixed asset register, undertake stock control reconciliations and investigate variances
-This is a full time, permanent position and will form part of an existing finance team


- Ideally qualified CIMA/ACCA (or equivalent), the successful candidate will have broad based accountancy skills, effective supervisory, communication and inter-personal skills
-The work being varied requires the skills of a good all rounder who has sound systems experience (particularly with Excel) and someone who can step up to provide cover for the Financial Controller during busy periods and holidays
-A positive, flexible approach is required as is the ability to work to tight deadlines, often under pressure
-Previous management experience and an organised, methodical way of working is essential


My client is an established local Grimsby company in the food sector. Located close to the A180 it provides an easy commute to the M180 and Humberside Airport area and the Humber Bridge/A63.

THE BENEFITS (include full salary):

Salary is dependent upon background, experience and level of qualification but around £30,000 - £33,000 with negotiable benefits for the right candidate.
