Gibson Jones is proud to be partnering with an expanding IT services business that offers traditional tech support and also the latest cloud solutions. Our client is looking for a passionate and personable business development manager to drive their business forward in line with their ambitious growth plans. The successful candidate will look to generate opportunities by finding leads and building relationships with prospective customers.

Key responsibilities:

* Create new sales opportunities by finding leads and building new relationships with potential clients across a variety of industries

* Regularly travel to exhibitions and networking events to promote the business

* Attending sales meeting with prospective customers

* Manage existing accounts and further develop relationships

* Hitting achievable revenue targets

* Write and present technical proposals to customers

* Providing sales pipelines, forecasts, and reports internally

Skills Required -

* Previous experience working in a similar sales position (technical, IT, telecoms, software)

* Ability to find leads and create relationships

* Excellent telephone manner

* Working towards monthly and/or quarterly targets

* Comfortable speaking to potential clients face-to-face in a professional environment

* Ability to work through a sales cycle, including pipelining, tracking and closing

* Experience of account / relationship management

* Proficient in using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, with the ability to write engaging emails
