Interim Site Engineering Manager / Chief Engineer

Location: Wrexham Industrial Estate

negotiable day rate based on experience

Target £500 - £600 per day , negotiable

My client is an internationally recognised market leader within the FMCG/ Food and Drink marketplace. Operating globally, they produce a distinctive range of high profile brands and products. A principal supplier to all the major supermarket chains, wholesalers and independents, they are currently experiencing sustained expansion and business growth.

Their prestigious UK manufacturing facilities have undergone significant change and expansion. An INTERIM role has been created for a Senior Site Engineering Manager, a role which will lead some of the front-line engineering activities on site, accountable for ensuring the efficient production of a variety of FMCG products. This role is focused on developing, empowering and coaching your leadership team to develop into future business leaders - a very interesting challenge!

Role:

You will be responsible for plant engineering activities on a prestigious, state-of-the-art food production site. You will devise and ensure a robust and responsive maintenance strategy.
You will implement and manage both maintenance and capital expenditure budgets for your factory, utilising various operational methodologies such as supplier optimisation, minimal inventories, and asset management techniques.
You will ensure that the productive capability of the plant is optimised and improved for the ever changing needs of the business. Requirements

Demonstrating experience within an FMCG environment, 3-5 years of which have within an engineering management role and a proven track record in the delivery of significant engineering tasks.
You will have finely developed interpersonal and communication skills and the natural ability to inspire and lead teams. You will also have the ability to identify improvement opportunities and monitor individual and team performance. You will display effective organisational skills and demonstrate a forward thinking, career ambitious and enthusiastic approach.
In terms of your team management skills, you will also possess a strong ability in forming positive working relationships across all levels, creating and cascading a vision for the business
