Bath based Consumer Goods business is looking for an experienced Licensing / Compliance Manager...

The position is responsible for maintaining the compliance status of all the groups' products, packaging, production and factories in all relevant markets and countries.

It is the ultimate gatekeeper role to ensure the company acts in the correct way with regards to all compliance requirements.

You are a disciplined, results oriented individual who is comfortable working under pressure, adhering to tight deadlines and acting in a highly professional way.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Act as the main contact for all compliance related inquiries, coordinating information between internal teams, worldwide customers, licensing partners and factories.
  • Develop and then manage a robust factory opening authorization criteria ensuring all internal teams adhere.
  • Develop and then management of robust QC policy.
  • Coordinate scheduled product and factory audits required by regulatory entities, clients or partners.
  • Track and manage regulatory product changes including packaging requirements.
  • Research and develop information to verify facts as submitted on technical change management to regulators.
  • Development of company compliance policies outside of regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and manage the archiving system for compliance records, ensuring that files are organized and easily accessible for recall.
  • Coordinate the preparation, testing and submission of products and to the appropriate regulators and or Test Labs, negotiating best price.
  • Proactively using resources, trade bodies and associations or own network to analyze laws and regulations as they relate to the company, its clients and partners.

  • Experience as a Product Compliance Manager role within the consumer goods market.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong time management skills to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Capable of successfully executing projects and finishing to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of communicating in a professional manner across the organization and client base, including customers, licensing partners, suppliers and testing houses.
  • Experience monitoring, managing and updating activities and tasks in a tracking system.
  • In depth knowledge of current product testing and auditing regulations backed up by sold research and investigative skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in teams or with individuals to ensure all compliance requirements are adhered to.
  • Willing and able to travel, less than 10% annually.
  • Demonstrated skills using Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel.
