A growing and friendly local company are looking to add a Purchase Ledger clerk to their finance team. The vacancy has emerged due to high growth within the wider business. The role would suit someone with a minimum of 2 years' accounts payable experience and is seeking a role within a brilliant local company.

Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
  • Manage and control the Purchase Ledger including scanning and logging of invoices
  • Ensuring that all invoices are properly authorised by designated individuals
  • Posting the invoices to the system
  • Perform payment runs via (BACs, CHAPS, direct debits)
  • Ensure prompt payment of invoices
  • Checking and reconciling supplier statements
  • Assist with month end closing and ensure invoices coded to General Ledger and Cost Centres
  • Ensure that best practice is both shared and implemented within their operating company
