Our Sales Ledger Team, based in York, are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a 6 month fixed term contract to assist with a new contract.

In this role you will;
  • Work as part of a team to manage all aspects of the sales ledger/franchise function.
  • Opening of customer accounts on the ledger.
  • Producing/importing of invoice files on a daily basis.
  • Accurate posting/allocation of customer/internal group cash.
  • Dealing with customer/Franchise/other branch staff telephone queries
  • Producing BACS files to submit to Head office
  • Ensuring good relations/communication with Head office (management accounts/credit control)
  • Have the ability to work accurately to deadlines when needed (month-end/year-end)
  • To work in a structured, sometimes repetitive role requiring levels of concentration
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Undertaking any other duties which may be needed to assist other team members (post/answering door)
