Do you want to put your technical aptitude to great use and enhance the lives of others?

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Smart Technology Advisor to join the Wellbeing and Innovation team at our Head Office, based in Coventry.

The role will help us improve our services, enhancing the experience of residents, increasing productivity, generating revenue and up-skilling staff. The role will support the set-up of the innovation apartments and smart markets across ExtraCare locations.

Your aim will be creating awareness and leading small groups of our residents by offering guidance in the use of various technology applications and to assess suitability to their individual needs.

You will be expected to spend your time travelling to ExtraCare villages (particularly Bristol, Bedford and Birmingham) You will join us on a full time, 12 month fixed term contract (part time candidates will also be considered) and in return you will receive a competitive starting salary of £19,500 per annum plus an excellent benefits package.

What will you do as our Smart Technology Advisor?

- Work with the Innovation and Wellbeing team to develop a project plan for the Smart Technology Market

- Work with ExtraCare village teams to deliver the smart market project

- Hold 1-1 support sessions as well as possibly group sessions with residents and care staff to support the usage of smart technology devices

- Help residents and care staff to discover solutions for daily living activities, from bespoke integrated systems to general purpose

- Provide input and feeding into the research project with the technology team to build a culture of person-centred technology usage

- Develop and plan staff training to support implementation and sustainable use of smart technology.

- Support the marketing, open days, and dissemination of information around smart technology both internally and externally

What we're looking for in our Smart Technology Advisor:

- Educated to degree level or equivalent with proven technical aptitudes and skills

- Able to use own initiative and creativity to identify areas to introduce technology

- Good technology skills with willingness to learn to use new devices and technologies

- Able to communicate effectively with older people and to offer information, advice and guidance.

- Able to independently manage deadlines, liaising effectively with key people in the organisation

- Excellent organisational and time management skills

- Able to work on your own initiative and develop new systems and processes

- Commitment to continuous improvement

- A respectful, empowering and motivating approach

- A positive attitude to tackling challenges

- An honest and open approach to internal communication
