Role: Finance Assistant

Salary: £9.70 per hour

Location: Bellshill

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm - Maternity Cover

Are you an experienced Finance Assistant with a background in a Logistics environment? Are you looking to further develop your career?

Global Recruitment are looking to speak with highly skilled and ambitious Finance Assistants who are seeking a new challenge to further develop their career.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience working within a Logistics environment and will demonstrate a "can do" culture amongst colleagues.

The Role;
  • Weekly cost reports are compiled and submitted within deadlines.
  • Accounts Payable duties are completed within the correct timeframe and in line with site budget - such as raising as receipting all Purchase Orders.
  • All invoices are raised and submitted within agreed payment terms.
  • Provide administrative support during budget preparation.
  • Identify and escalate unusual spend patterns and opportunities for cost efficiency.
  • Provide an efficient and accurate service for the benefit of colleagues in accordance with the company and clients standards, policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to maximise day to day effectiveness.
  • Liaise with management colleagues and other departments in a positive and professional manner.
  • Ensure services to customer exceed their expectations and company standards as defined within agreed contracts, SLA agreements, KPIs and schedule of company operating procedures.
  • Partnership with the client's representatives is maintained and developed to the highest level.

The Candidate;
  • Qualified to HND level or NVQ4 in accounting with a working knowledge of processes, procedures and systems within finance administration.
  • Sound financial understanding/experience, strict cost control discipline.
  • Personable with very high levels of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Analytical and logical approach to problem solving.
  • Intermediate or higher skill set on Excel and Word.
  • Experience of accounting software, e.g. SAP and Procurement Catalogue.
  • Previous experience within a Logistics environment.
