Due to our continued success we are looking to appoint an interim Group Communications Executive on a 12 month fixed term contract to join a friendly and growing team. Location Manchester and UK travel.
This role will report to the Group Head of Communications, providing support with key communication projects, campaigns and initiatives across the Group, including internal and external communications, aligned to the Group Communications strategy. It will also heavily support a new global culture change programme.
This role holder will also provide day to day management and support of our Group Communication channels, such as leadership communications, mailbox management and all communication feedback mechanisms. They should be familiar with measurement techniques and be able to apply these to our channel framework where appropriate.
There will also be a lesser degree of involvement in external communications to support reputation and media, management, working with the press and media outlets and agencies.
The Role:
The role involves supporting a single, credible and trusted source of company information, key messaging and communication material. It will also include:
managing internal channels and ensuring timely delivery of Group-wide communications
liaising with agencies to ensure communication solutions are developed and delivered on time, to budget
maintaining stakeholder contact lists and liaising with relevant communication leads across the Group to ensure all plans are up to date.
supporting all Group Communication led activities and events including the Senior Leadership Conferences and roadshows.
working collaboratively with other key stakeholders to manage and maintain Group communication plans, projects and campaigns across all countriesGood internal communication skills are a requirement for this role, as is the ability to plan and prioritise multiple projects in order to meet challenging deadlines and the ability to form and develop strong relationships both within the business and with external advisors.
The successful candidate will be a member of CIPR or CIM with a minimum of four years' proven skills within a large organisation, and have a high level of personal and professional credibility, who is passionate and self-motivated in making a difference. Good commercial awareness and the ability to identify key issues and risks before they arise desirable. External communications, brand and advertising experience in large organisations would be an advantage.
