A world renowned of precision measurement products company are looking for a Area Sales Manager to cover East Midlands patch. Based from home and reporting to the UK Sales Manager, the Area Sales Manager will be responsible for the sale of products manufactured within the group. You'll have a strong engineering background with experience of selling measuring equipment or capital equipment.

Commutable from: Coventry, Leicester, Northampton, Lincoln, Peterborough, Derby, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, East Midlands

Salary: Negotiable + Company Car + Bonus, Pension & 33 Days holidays including bank holidays.

The Role

Reporting into the UK Sales Manager you'll be responsible for selling products manufactured within the group. The Area Sales Manager will develop existing customer accounts as well as develop new business in line with the company overall sales strategy.

You will implement the Business Sales strategy, ensuring sales activities are consistent with the aims and requirements of the Business. This role will identify and pursue new sales opportunities, working alongside product specialist to develop technical customer quotations to meet customer requirements.

Maintain and increase the volume of business with existing and prospecting customers through regular visit and cold calls.

Manage own appointments with Buyers/Engineers of existing and prospective customers.

Assist with set up and attend both local and national trade exhibitions.

Maintain consist updates on the market sectors and competitors activity.

The Person

A mechanical engineering background with experience of selling engineering or measuring or capital equipment.

A strong sales background, with the ability to prospect, grow and develop areas and managing current accounts. Experienced with reading engineering drawing, with a strong technical background to understand customer needs and requirements

Confident with using Microsoft Office.
