Newstaff Employment Services are looking to recruit on behalf of their client based in Luton, a Mortgage Administrator ready to take their next step in their career in financial services. This is to cover maternity leave however it could become a permanent role.

The hours are 22.5hours a week as it is a part time role and my client is happy for the hours to be worked either as 3 full days 9-5.30pm (with 1 hour for lunch) or over 4/5 days and also happy to consider school hours if this helps.

The role is paying 22-25k depending on experience and being pro rata for part time and depending on the actual number of hours worked, so the salary shown is a guideline and will be discussed on the offer of a role.

As a mortgage administrator you will partner with their mortgage advisers on mortgage cases. You'll gain valuable insight into the mortgage market, acting as the point of contact for customers, lenders, builders and solicitors as part of their mortgage journey. Our client's mortgage administrators are actively involved in helping their customer's to secure their mortgages and ensuring a smooth process for all involved.

Their customers expect the highest standards of advice from them, it will be a fast-paced and busy role, but they never lose sight of the fact that what they do is about helping people through the most complex, financial commitment they will ever make.

Requirements

You'll need to have experience working within financial services in an administrative and customer services capacity. They will need you to be a strong communicator, as you'll be speaking with a range of people from clients, lenders, solicitors and various builders that they work with. My client works towards exchange and completion deadlines, so you'll need to have a consistent record being able to work towards deadlines whilst remaining flexible, hard-working, and calm under pressure. Good organisational skills, accuracy are essential.

You will be responsible for assisting with the research and production of new mortgages from aip/dip stage to full applications, requesting documents, keying applications, chasing clients and solicitors through to exchange and completion helping the clients every step of the way, Keeping all parties updated throughout the mortgage journey and using and keeping up to date records internally.
