Contract: Permanent Full-Time, 35 hour working week with some flexibility towards working evenings around events

Salary - c£39,000 per annum plus Inner London Allowance

We now have a fantastic opportunity within Fundraising to lead the High Value Events team to drive ambitious growth, creative development and to successfully deliver our high value fundraising and stewardship events portfolio. You will do this through a clear and ambitious strategy to ensure growth and a pipeline of new events.

The role?

Work with colleagues across fundraising to deliver High Value Events that will enable the charity to achieve its vision and mission
Lead the high value events team to initiate and develop long-term relationships between high value committee members, supporters and Action for Children to deliver challenging income target
Line manage responsibility through Action for Children policies and procedures to drive performance. Setting and monitoring KPI's, objectives
Drive Action for Children's stewardship event portfolio, developing a calendar of inspiring, cost-effective opportunities that engage high value supporters across the organisation
Work with the Head of Philanthropy and Prospect Research Manager to create strategies for identifying new prospects and developing the team pipeline through collaborative working with fundraising colleagues
Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team through annual budget planning and financial reporting processes
Producing detailed event briefings for the use of the Head of Philanthropy and members of the senior leadership team and to lead on the delivery of new fundraising events
Keep abreast with best practice and ensure that all activity complies with the Data Protection Act, GDPR and ICO recommendations

The person?

Experience of High Value Event fundraising with an excellent track record of developing and delivering six figure events
Experience of recruiting committee members and managing these relationships to introduce new donors at the highest levels
Substantial experience of devising and implementing successful fundraising events to deliver income growth and stewardship events to engage supporters
Proven experience of leading, inspiring and line managing fundraisers to achieve against specific financial goals
A professional and enterprising solutions-focused approach to making effective decisions, applying critical thinking to weigh up risks and challenges to drive, develop and implement new ideas, systems
Experience of using and interrogating relational databases, ideally Raiser's Edge and Salesforce
Commitment to personal learning, development and improvement in pursuit of team and personal objectives and to the Charity's values
Excellent and effective communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent IT skills
