Engineering & Product Quality Manager

£45,000 - £50,000 Plus Benefits

The Company

My client is part of a group of companies who specialise in the manufacture and precision machining of a wide range of components and assemblies for the Aerospace, Gas Turbine and Power Generation sectors.

They have multiple sites in the UK and have grown both organically and by acquisition. As a group their turnover is in excess of £60k.

Due to expansion they have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineering and Product Quality Manager to allocate the workload to both the Engineering & Quality teams and focus on cost saving and Continuous Improvement.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager the Engineering and Product Quality Manager your role will be more biased to Engineering than Quality (80/20) with your key responsibility being to implement Change and get the best out of your team.

Additional responsibilities will include:

Allocating the workload and make sure it is prioritised accordingly

Managing the daily KPI's

Implementing a more effective Root Cause Analysis strategy to reduce repeat Quality issues

The Candidate

The ideal Engineering and Product Quality Manager will be a qualified and trained Engineer with experience of precision machining (CNC Milling and Turning) gained within either the Aerospace or Automotive industries.

You will be a proven leader of teams with a track record of success in delivery of Engineering quality, whether in New Product Introduction or Continuous & Process Improvements. Experience of AS9100 or IATF / TS 16949 is desirable.

The Benefits

In return the successful Engineering & Product Quality Manager can expect a salary of up to £50,000 (dependent on experience) and a benefits package including Pension and Healthcare.
