Becoming a Graduate Solutions Architect with Capita IT and Networking

The Graduate Solutions Architect is a key position within the Commercial Team based in Capita Network Service's Reigate offices, to aid the Internal Sales and Quotation Team to design and price Managed Network services to internal Capita divisions, Partner and external customers. Capita Network Service's managed services are characterised by their complexity and legislative requirements it is therefore paramount that customer requirements are analysed in detail, to develop solutions that satisfy the technical specifications but also within increasingly constrained fiscal environments. The Graduate Solutions Architect is required to understand a client's IT operations to be able to advocate how solutions will support the overall IT strategy in an IT organisation. Ongoing mentoring is provided by the Head of Solution Architecture and Senior Members of the commercial team.

What you will do:
  • As a Graduate Solution Architect, activities include providing assistance to Sales and Commercial Teams
    • Address and solve customer's technical WAN, LAN and Perimeter Security requirements
    • Aligned to Capita Network Service's standard managed service offerings
    • Create a Bill of Materials, identifying any Professional Services requirements.
    • Enhance an existing knowledge of the design principles for WAN, LAN and Security architectures, providing strong and informative knowledge of Capita Network Service managed services based on
      • WAN Services including MPLS and SD-WAN including full Orchestration solutions
      • LAN - Fixed line and WLAN
      • Security Services - Application Firewalls, Endpoint Security and Cloud
      • Input into written responses and clarification of technical questions raised by clients and Sales teams
      • Project Handover documentation, High level Designs and commercial handovers

Your experience will include:
  • Telecoms or computer science (with telecoms aligned modules/proejcts) related degree.
  • Desirable to have professional network certification such as Cisco CCNA
  • Knowledge of WAN technologies, LAN technologies, Voice, Unified Communication solutions
  • Excellent written communications skills and an excellent telephone manner
  • Comfortable presenting in person, via conference call, and web demo platforms
  • Able to learn and understand technical information quickly
