Training & Rescue Manager / Director
West Midlands based (2/3 days) & South East (2 days)
£85,000 plus company package

The company:
My client is an approved Training and Rescue Centre which specialises in delivering practical and accredited industry training across a wide range of sectors., these courses include first aid, manual handing, working at height and high risk confined space rescue.
As well as the training, my client works with blue chip clients to offer bespoke rescue cover across a wide range of projects including power station outages, mining and tunnelling, large trunk sewers and hazardous chambers.

This opportunity will involve travel 2/3 days will be based at their H/O in the West Midlands and the rest of the week will be spent visiting sites, clients and perspective opportunities most of which are in the South East. All lodging and expenses will be covered by my client. Therefore, this opportunity will suit a flexible individual located anywhere in the UK.

Roles / Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects relating to the day to day running of the training and rescue business.
• Manage and develop staff through evaluating performance and identifying training and development needs.
• Drive the year on year growth of the training and rescue business
• Develop client and stakeholder relationships to secure and maintain repeat business.
• Develop bespoke training courses in line with client requirements
• Assist the Manging Director in developing and implementing growth strategies for the training and rescue business.
• Develop safe systems of work and bespoke rescue plans in line with client needs
• Oversee the operational delivery of onsite rescue cover including assessing all associated safe systems of work
• Hold responsibility for the company City & Guilds accreditation
• Ensure the business remains abreast of industry best practice for areas relating to training and rescue.
• Hold responsibility for the P&L performance of the training and rescue business.

Experience / Qualifications Required:
• Proven track record as a training and/or rescue manager
• Track record in designing and executing successful programmes within the infrastructure sector
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Teaching and assessor qualification

Salary / Package:
• Up to £85,000 DOE plus company package including;
• 25 days annual leave plus stats
• 4% matched pension
• Profit related bonus structure
