The priority hire is an experienced IT support specialist who will be offering telephone,remote access and onsite technical support to our clientbase.

Duties andResponsibilities
  • Providing telephone and remote assistance to clients at both desktop and serverlevel.
  • Attending client sites to resolve problems and install newequipment.
  • Processing support requests through tocompletion.
  • Project managing server installations andmigration.
  • Consultingwithclientstoprovideadviceonnewequipment,solutionsandupgrades.
  • Recording and maintaining client technical records anddocumentation.
  • Proactively maintaining client systems and responding to monitoringalerts.

Skills / AttributesRequired

Key TechnicalSkills:
  • Strong working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Hyper-V, and other corenetworking

services.
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Exchange, Office365, and how to troubleshoot email flowissues.
  • Good experience of supporting and troubleshooting at desktop and serverlevel.
  • A good understanding of the TCP/IP protocol, and how to configure internet routers andfirewalls.
  • A good understanding of server hardware components and RAID arrayconfiguration.
  • Experience working with commercial server based antivirus and backupsystems.
  • Any IT certifications held (such as MCSA, MCSE, etc) will be anadvantage.

Other KeyRequirements:
  • Ideally 5 years' experience supporting desktop and serverenvironments.
  • Previous experience within an MSP environment desired but notessential.
  • Owning a full driving licence and car isessential.
  • Good organisational and time managementskills.
  • Must be presentable, with good customer facingskills and strong communication skills.
