Location: Papworth Everard

Salary: £18,500

Hours: Full-time

The key objective of the role is to build and maintain relationships with customers and to grow sales

Key Job Objectives

As a key representative of the business you are responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers

You will monitor sales to individual customers and seek opportunities to improve sales value on an ongoing basis

You will promote special offers and introductory products to customers and monitor sales accordingly

You will maintain up to date records for all customers including key contacts and their positions

Daily Activities

Ensure departmental administration procedures including call lists, correct order invoicing and amendments, and route plans are correctly implemented
Track and analyse customer sales, identify gaps and take action to replace lost business
Continuously strive to identify new sales opportunities with all customers and introduce new products leading to growth in sales
Take decisive action to clear short dated, frozen and critical stock as advised in the Ripe and Ready and Weekly offers report
Liaise with and assist the Sales and Purchasing Manager regarding to the supply of promotional products, special offers and the supply of samples to customers
Ensure customer pre-orders and standing orders are entered on to the system correctly and advised to the Stock Inventory Manager
Liaise with the Operational Team to ensure the correct allocation of orders to customers and associated daily vehicle route
Fully utilise the Customer Delivery Representatives support in building relationships with customers and growing sales
Ensure clear and appropriate lines of communication are maintained within your department and when liaising with other departments in the business
Attend a weekly meeting with the Sales and Purchasing Manager to discuss sales activity and department achievements
Ensure customer contact lists are continuously kept up to date including main contacts, positions and contact numbers
Ensure records and files are maintained in line with company procedures
Ensure end of day procedures are checked and complete
Ensure the allocation of delivery notes and invoices to individual routes is accurate and complete
Ensure systems input data is accurate and complete
