Sewell Wallis has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant based just outside of Otley. The role will initially start as an Accounts Assistant and will see the successful candidate quickly progress into an Assistant Accountant.

Training and development is important to the business and so full AAT funding and study support is provided.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Finance and will join a growing, friendly finance team.

As the Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for:
Bank admin management.
Bank posting and reconciliation.
Covering for other areas of the transactional finance team as and when required.
Petty cash management.
Credit card processing and postings.
Expenses management and processing.
Preparing payment runs.
Monthly VAT/sales tax reconciliation in preparation for tax returns.
Other ad hoc tasks as and when required.

The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of 12 months finance experience.
Strong Microsoft skills.
A willingness to learn and develop their skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
