The Role - Sales Engineer, Service & Maintenance Contracts

Working with the Service Business Manager UK, you will develop the Service business in line with corporate strategy, and identify and exploit growth opportunities through the sale of Instron service products.

Full responsibilities include:
  1. Work with the Service Business Manager, UK to achieve U.K service business growth in line with corporate objectives.
  2. Aptitude to identify and realise service sales opportunities.
  3. Ability to understand the customer's needs and translate that into a proposal in a timely fashion.
  4. To work with the Service Business Manager, UK to develop the Service business in line with corporate strategy identifying and exploiting growth and investment opportunities both within our existing installed customer base and those of our competitors.
  5. To work closely with national Sales team to ensure seamless customer satisfaction and help promote growth through the implementation of joint sales and service strategies.
  6. Communication is essential, giving feedback and updates quickly both internally and externally.
  7. Be able to plan own schedule to make the most efficient use of time.

Your Background - Sales Engineer, Service & Maintenance Contracts

A proven track record of consistent above target performance

An ability to prepare and present professional documentation using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.

An ability to forecast accurately

An Ability to identify new customers and build new relationships and get customers talking, take ownership, involving appropriate stake holders early and follow up on any required actions.

Must have an appetite to win with an ability to close and be self-motivated.

Organisational Agility: be well organised, able to navigate all levels of the organisation as required to get the job done.

Prioritisation: be able to prioritise through the evaluation of open tasks and our customer needs.

Self-starter: be pro-active and able to work with minimum supervision.

Excellent Communicator: be able to communicate to varying audience both through verbal and non-verbal means.

Customer oriented: create and sustain a culture that puts a high priority on responsiveness to customer needs and that values a high degree of customer satisfaction.

Team player: works well as a team player, can energise and enthuse teams around a common goal or purpose, maintains close communication with the Sales operation and can work with them to ensure that Service revenues are maximised for the territory.

Degree or equivalent with at least 3 year's experience in technical sales. Full clean U.K driving licence
