Job Details:
Our client is a market leading software house whose markets are chiefly in the health and social care sectors. They are now looking for a talented Key Account Manager to play a vital role within the Key Accounts Team and take responsibility for building, nurturing and maintaining long term relationships with a number of key customers.
The main objectives of the role as Key Account Manager are to grow sales across the product range (applications and services), to maintain profitability and toe understand your clients in an insightful way which can support a sales proposition which adds value for your customers.
The account manager will have a leading role in client management, planning, building and co-ordinating the relationships both within and between the customer and company.

The role will include work to:
* Plan and implement sales strategies
* Develop a deep understanding of the needs of the clients, their motivators, decision making processes, buying behaviours and challenges
* Meet agreed sales targets with direct sales responsibility for all products; acting as the single point of contact through the sales cycle.
* Become the voice of the customer in order to align the business to customer issues and to develop and offer valued propositions which meet the needs of the client.
* Create and deliver solutions for your clients which offer real value
* Understand the product line and involve the whole of the business in the solutions which you offer (including software product lines, Automation and Monitoring (RTU/SCADA/Telemetry Solutions), business optimisation software consultancy services.
* Plan client engagements, generate pipeline and convert business opportunities
* Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business
* Complete administration and reporting tasks efficiently in order to maximise the opportunities within your pipeline
* Collaborate to develop sales strategies and to uncover account opportunities.
* Understand the competitive landscape and create useful strategies which can be shared with others in the immediate and 3rd party teams.
* Offer the client new product/service development initiatives to ensure that relationships are lasting and mutually beneficial.
Key Attributes
* You will be happy to innovate in a fast-paced environment yet able to use an independent but structured approach to developing new business relationships, winning customer confidence and achieving your set objectives.
* You will be happy with being accountable, will have good problem solving abilities and be confident with your negotiation and communication skills.
* You should have a positive, can do attitude, enjoy building effective relationships with both internal and external customers and be comfortable presenting to others - particularly when translating complex situations into clear and understandable terms.
* You will have a proven track record in Key Account Management, Sales and a positive track record of success in generating and managing a pipeline of opportunities including major bid management (>£1m).
* You will have technical skills that enable you to interpret what is happening within your client set and successfully grow market share
* Knowledge of the Public Utilities, Power, O&G, transportation and/or Waters sectors would be a distinct advantage as would skills in project management.
* As with most sales people, the ability to engage at all levels of the business and an aptitude for strategic thinking will help you to identify new and growth opportunities
