Full Time
This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK's leading insulation and construction product manufacturers. There is a clear development strategy and future prospects for growth are bright for the business.

The Organisation

- A well-known brand name in its markets, established over 40 years ago, and with a reputation for quality and innovation.
- A network of manufacturing sites across the UK to service its customer base.
- A track record of ongoing investment to pioneer research and development in insulation products, along with success as a funding winner in Government sponsored competitions for innovative refurbishment products.
- The facility is a Health & Safety cultured workplace, where employees work in a clean environment with modern equipment. Training is actively encouraged.

The Role

- Your overall purpose role is to maintain the Planned Preventative Maintenance programme, respond quickly to any breakdowns, and carry out repair work to the highest standards of workmanship.
- Supervision of a small engineering team and leading best practice and continuous improvement in this area.
- Communicate and work effectively with the Production Department.
- Working on weekdays split across two shifts, (9am-5pm) but the appointee will need to be available for (paid) emergency call outs and breakdowns outside of usual working hours.

The Individual

- You need to have up to date background accreditations, and the minimum requirement is an NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification, plus an up to date 17th /18th Edition certificate.
- It is felt that the role might suit someone currently transitioning from the Forces - preferably the RE or REME, who has some of the required skills but can be trained and developed further.
- Ideally the appointee should have a sound working background in a modern manufacturing plant and be able to demonstrate working knowledge and fault finding skills such as PLC's, (programming an advantage) drives, and instrumentation control systems.
- Great communication and collaborative skills to work as a team leader, and with day to day liaison and reporting to the Group Maintenance Manager and site and production managers.

If this sounds like you and you are up for a new challenge with a forward thinking and innovative manufacturing business, then we would love to hear from you.
