Project Accounting Support


Primary purpose of role

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about developing their career within finance. The role is to help support both the Finance and wider business teams in financial risk management, governance and control related activities in line with the SOX Procedures

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Project Set Up
  • Working with Project Management in the Preparation of Invoice/App Backup
  • Maintains appropriate contract and billing files
  • Liaise with Project Management daily to ensure projects are running correctly
  • Action responses and housekeeping from weekly reports
  • Produce weekly/monthly reports as requested by Finance Manager/PM
  • Job Closure
  • Adhere to internal and external policies and procedures relating to all aspects of project life cycle in E1.
  • Produce detailed reports for Finance Manager and/or PM as requested
  • Assist in maintaining and producing monthly Management Accounts.
  • Assist Credit Control with the collection of accounts receivable
  • Liaise with Project Managers to resolve any issues with unpaid Invoices/Applications
  • Allocate cash received from client against Invoice/Application
  • Move, write-off and suspend time and expense lines when authorised.
  • Enter and update charge rates.
  • Update and maintain FSC Team Site with all job set-up forms and client documentation regarding original work authorisation and increases to fees.
  • Client E-Mail Inbox Management
  • Respond in a timely manner to requests from PM's in specific client Mailboxes
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required

Person Specification

  • Be able to deal with vast amounts of data
  • Excel Experience is essential - Pivots, LookUps and If Statements. Training will be provided but would be beneficial if already known.
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Analytically minded
  • Able to deal with change positively
  • Ability to manage challenging situations
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good time Management
