Chess are currently looking to recruit a determined and enthusiastic individual to join our expanding Technical team. This role will focus on our Internal Service Desk however, you will have access to our ongoing training programme, as well as the expectation to self-learn.

Duties to include but not restricted to:
  • Providing strong server and desktop support
  • Providing overflow support for inbound calls for Enterprise customers
  • Maintaining agreed SLA's, updating ticket information as you work from diagnostics through to resolution
  • Keeping clients updated as to the progress of their ticket status
  • Assisting/mentoring colleagues in line with escalations procedures
  • Visit client sites to troubleshoot in cases where tickets cannot be resolved remotely
  • Assisting with project installations for new hardware and software
  • Producing and updating technical documentation
  • Working to deadlines and adapting quickly to a fast-changing environment
  • Maintaining a high degree of customer service, professionalism and integrity

Skills & Qualities you will need to demonstrate:
  • Excellent verbal communicator
  • Customer focused and pro-active with regards to fulfilling the clients' requirements/ expectations
  • Able to manage own workload effectively as well as work as part of a team
  • Actively contribute to team huddles and meetings
  • Enthusiastic and motivated

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Experience of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft technologies

Desirable skills
  • Experience supporting Cloud PBX solutions
  • Experience supporting internet faults and raising to carriers

Package Details:

Basic salary: Up to £23,000 depending on experience, plus car allowance.

Hours: 37½ hours per week Monday to Friday, normal office hours apply.

Holiday Allowance: 20 days paid holiday p.a. increased upon anniversaries, ultimately to 24 days p.a., plus public holidays.
